Yong Ju Jang, MD, PhD.

Short Bio: Yong Ju Jang, M.D., Ph.D is Chief Professor and Department Chair at the department of Otolaryngology, Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Korea (South). Dr Jang got multiple awards including JACQUES JOSEPH Medal and from EAFPS and the Efrain Davalos Award from AAFPRS. He is serving as editorial board member of 1) Facial plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine, 2) Facial Plastic Surgery, 3)Auris Nasus Larynx. Dr Jang was the Past president of Korean Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serving as the current President of Pan-Asian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He published 2 rhinoplasty textbook and contributed book chapter at more than 8 internationally acclaimed facial plastic surgery textbooks. Dr Jang published over 74 papers on rhinoplasty in peer reviewed international Journals

Short Biography

Jong Woo Chung, MD is a professor and the former chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine. Along with his colleagues at Asan Medical Center, he is conducting several clinical studies on sensorineural hearing loss, cochlear implantation, middle ear implant, chronic ear disease, and otitis media of children. Recently, Dr. Chung is involved in the development of robot surgery in ear surgery, artificial intelligence, and endoscopic ear surgery. Dr. Chung graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and went on to pursue his medical residency and Ph.D. in Otolaryngology at the Seoul National University. He trained in general otology, skull base surgery, and cochlear implantation. Dr. Chung moved to Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine where he developed skull base surgery, audiology, endoscopic ear surgery and cochlear implantation, and started basic research of noise-induced hearing loss. Dr. Chung also served as the President of the Korean Audiological Society during 2014-2016 and the President of the Korean Skull Base Society during 2017.

Hong Ju Park, MD., PhD.

Short biography

Hong Ju Park, MD., PhD., is an internationally recognized otologist with expertise in hearing loss and vestibular disorders, who works as a professor at Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Asan Medical Center. His practice focuses on the management of hearing loss such as cochlear implant for sensorineural hearing loss and evaluation of brain cortical changes by hearing loss, balloon dilation and development of stent for Eustachain tube dysfunction, and management of vestibular disorders like Meniere’s disease, vestibular neuritis and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. He collaborates closely with Neurology of Keck School of Medicine of USC, Biomedical Engineering Research Center of Asan Institute for Life Sciences, and neuroradiology. He also directs an NTIS-funded research laboratory and translates the latest findings to improve patient care.

Yoo-Sam Chung, MD    

Short Biography

Yoo-Sam Chung, MD, PhD is a professor at the Department of Otorhinolarynogology-Head and Neck Surgery, Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. He graduated from Yonsei University, and completed ENT residency in Severance Hospital, along with a rhinology fellowship in Asan Medical Center. He served as a visiting assistant professor in the sleep disorders clinic at Stanford University Hospital and was the former president of the Korean Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and the Korean Society of Sleep Medicine. Currently, he serves as the chief editor of the Quality Improvement in Healthcare. His clinical practice focuses on sleep medicine, including obstructive sleep apnea, sinonasal tumor, endoscopic skull base surgery, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis..

Ji Heui Kim, M.D., Ph.D.    

Short Bio

Ji Heui Kim, M.D., Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She graduated from Chungnam National University School of Medicine in 2005 and received her M.S. and Ph.D. from Ulsan University in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Dr. Kim focuses on the management of chronic rhinosinusitis, sinonasal benign and malignant tumor, and anosmia. She actively collaborates with neurosurgeons in endoscopic skull base surgery and serves as the general secretary of the Korean Society of Endoscopic Neurosurgery. She is conducting basic researches on chronic rhinosinusitis, olfaction, and sinonasal malignancy and translates the latest findings to improve patient care.

Yoon Se Lee, MD., PhD., is a notable Head and Neck surgeon with expertise in thyroid-head & neck cancer and airway stenosis. He works as an associate professor at Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine. He performs minimally invasive head and neck cancer surgery. Currently, he has focused on airway reconstruction and facial nerve reanimation surgery. In research field, he is interested in precistion medicine and immune-oncology for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma as well as high grade salivary gland tumor. He stayed at UCSF as a visiting scholar and collaborated with Dr. Patick Ha, Dr. Daniel Jonhson, and Dr. Jennifer Grandis on HPV (+) cancer. He is coworking with Korea Instutue of Science and Technoloty about exosomes in head and neck cancer and with Asan Medical Institute of Science about medical robotics.
